"Implementation of a Procure2Pay system across the group by taking sustainability and value into account“- The Austrian Post AG wins the annual BMÖ Austrian Supply Excellence & Industry 4.0 Award with the implementation of the Wallmedien solution set.

PADERBORNVerleihungAward, 12th October, 2015 – WALLMEDIEN AG, specialist in e-procurement solutions, congratulates the winners of this year’s BMÖ Award in the category of Business Excellence in IT and system management: Austrian Post AG, country’s leading provider of logistics and postal services as well as Austrian Federal Railways and AVL List GmbH.

From zero to 90 in 9 months – Every year, the Austrian Association for Material Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BMÖ) honours outstanding performances along the value chain. The top class jury with expertise in areas of Supply, IT-innovation, Cyber-Physics and Industry 4.0 awards holistic concepts and outstanding section solutions which verifiable have led to sustainable and measurable value enhancement, cost reduction, innovative product-/service development or market position.

Subject of the awarded project was the creation of an end-to-end e-procurement solution, which meets the most modern technical and commercial requirements in purchasing. Supported by Wallmedien AG, Horst Mosshandl, Head of Corporate Purchasing & CPO, and the project managers Karin Eppich and Matthias Aicher succeeded to reduce and simplify procurement processes, e.g. through the expansion of catalogue orders from 0 to 91%. Confirmed by the study of McKinsey, the purchasing organisation of the Austrian Post belongs to the top European logistics service provider by now.

The successful cooperation continues on the 27th October in the headquarters of the Austrian Post in Vienna. Together with Allocation Network, Meplato and Schweitzer Fachinformationen, Wallmedien and Austrian Post AG occur as event partners on the “E-Procurement Roadshow – Everything for your targets in 2016”, which is organised by WPS Management GmbH. At the one-day events in four selected cities, purchase experts gain deep insight into current challenges, tools and methods in e-procurement around topics of source, procure, pay and score.
